Many common skin, hair and nail conditions can be effectively assessed and managed through teledermatology. However, some conditions require an in-person examination or procedure. If this is necessary, your dermatologist will advise you during your consultation.

What if I don't know what skin condition I have?

That's perfectly okay. You don't need a diagnosis before booking. Your dermatologist will assess your symptoms and determine the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan where possible.

Do you provide mole or skin cancer checks?

No. Dermo Direct does not provide online skin cancer or mole checks. These require an in-person examination and cannot be performed through teledermatology.

Do I need a referral?

A GP referral is required if you wish to claim an eligible Medicare rebate. Patients without a referral can still book a private consultation.
