Teledermatology is a useful and innovative tool to provide efficient access to Specialist Dermatological care for those in areas without ready access to such a specialist. This service provides patients with a means to access specialist care without having to wait for extended periods and travel long distances. We acknowledge that there are limitations to this service, but endeavour to provide the best service possible. Limitations to our service may include reliable technology/connectivity, accuracy of diagnosis impaired by photo/video quality and lack of tactile feedback. Dermodirect takes no responsibility for technology connectivity, and it is the responsibility of the patient to ensure they have the relevant technological access to participate in the service.
Patient payment details are requested at the time of booking an appointment, which is prior to the commencement of the consultation. Patient fee payment will only be accepted via credit card payment through Visa or Mastercard. No credit card details are held by Dermodirect beyond the payment being made. A $50.00 deposit will be charged to your credit card upon booking. This is non-refundable, should you fail to attend the virtual consultation. The remainder of the fee will be charged after the consultation.
Dermodirect makes no warranties as to the content of any medical consultation conducted through our service. You and your dermatologist are responsible for all information and communication sent during a consultation. Your dermatologist will keep a record of the consultation with you, but Dermodirect does not guarantee that a video consultation is the appropriate course of treatment for your particular dermatological problem. You agree to contact your own doctor should your condition change or worsen, and on the advice of further tests and investigations suggested by your consulting dermatologist. The services being offered are “as is” basis and used by the patient solely at their own risk.
When you register and book an appointment, you accept the terms of service, and you are required to provide us with personally identifiable information. It is your responsibility to update this information so that our records are complete and up to date. Dermodirect reserves the right to cancel your appointment/registration without notices at its sole discretion.
Dermodirect agrees to permit you to use the site and services provided in consideration that you release Dermodirect from all claims which you have now or later against Dermodirect whether for personal injury (including disability and death) or otherwise and whether occasioned by negligence, breach of contract, breach of statutory duty or otherwise. In agreeing to the terms of service you indemnify now and in the future, Dermodirect against all proceedings, actions, claims or demands made by any person for personal injury (including disability and death) or otherwise and whether occasioned by negligence, breach of contract, breach or statutory duty or otherwise.
This Terms of Service, together with any Dermodirect privacy or policies represents the complete agreement between you and Dermodirect and replaces all communications concerning such subject matter.
